10 things for Christians to remember and/or consider when it comes to Halloween:
1. Halloween is the one night of the year that others come knocking at our door. Be friendly & courteous.
2. Use this as an opportunity to show the love of Christ by giving them a Gospel tract and some sweets/candy.
3. Know your Bible and know that God is not in agreement with witchcraft, wizardry etc.
4. Don't place children who dress up and receive sweets/candy on the same level as people who are deeply into the occult.
5. But also don't take witchcraft, wizardry, etc light heartedly.
6. Demons are real and can cause a lot of pain and oppression in a person's life. They are NOT YOUR FRIEND no matter how they try to deceive you.
7. In reference to no. 6 it is advised and strongly warned that you keep away from practices that invite unwanted attention from these harmful beings.
8. Stay close to God no matter what time of the year it is and He will bring peace and joy into your life. God is light and in Him is NO DARKNESS. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” ~ 1 John 1:5
9. As Christians we can celebrate victory over death and the amazing RESURRECTION (and you don't have to wait until Easter)!!! :)
10. Stand for truth and be kind.
