I just witnessed a little injured bird get help from his buddy! He was carrying two blueberries in his beak and coming along side him. It was so sweet!
My mind automatically related the situation to people who have taken the time, love and effort to come along side me when I have been "injured" verbally, spiritually, mentally or even physically.
The pain we receive from others can be very real and at times hard to bear. But it's in those times that God can teach us things that we wouldn't otherwise understand.
God wants us to be a Christian who:
can sympathise with others in their pain,
have a heart to help,
have a heart to encourage and not discourage,
have an uplifting spirit and not a critical one.
I am so thankful for the people God has placed in my life who do these things.
Let's be like this little birdie and love our buddies :)

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” ~ John 15:12
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:” ~ Hebrews 10:24
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” ~ 1 John 4:7-8
